How do you know that I’m a professional counsellor?

I am a qualified counsellor and a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy and subscribe to their ethical framework to ensure the care and well being of my clients. As part of this I have continual supervision to ensure that our relationship matches your wants and needs.

What happens to the information you share with me in the counselling room/online counselling sessions?

Everything you say in the counselling room or during our online counselling sessions will be treated in confidence and we can discuss confidentiality in more detail when we meet.

How long are the sessions?

I offer 50 minute sessions on a weekly basis for both long-term and short-term therapy until you feel ready to end our sessions. I offer continuous reviews of our sessions to ensure that both you and I are satisfied with our relationship and the work we do together.

What happens if I can’t make a session?

When you book an appointment with me, cancellations within 48 hours will not incur any charges, otherwise full fee is payable. If it is possible, I may be able to offer you an alternative time to reschedule a missed appointment.

What are my fees?

The initial assessment and consultation is free.

I charge £55 per session for one-to-one counselling.

All payments can be made in cash or cheque at each session or by BACs previous to each session. Concessionary rates may be available, so please do contact me to find out more details.

How do I book a session?

If you are interested in meeting with me, please do contact me and I will get back to you as soon as possible.  I will arrange an initial assessment and consultation which will allow us to get to know each other and work out whether we wish to work together.  As part of this we can talk about your reasons for wanting counselling, how I work  and what you’d like to achieve through counselling.  I’ll offer you as much information as possible to help you make an informed decision as to whether I’m the right person to work with you.  There is no obligation to continue working with me after the initial meeting.
